Recently, it was the 70th anniversary of the publication of the first Guinness Book of Records. However, on a personal note, it has just been the 40th anniversary of the release of the 1986 edition, in October 1985.
This may not seem significant at all to most people, but personally, it is important to me as I made the artwork that was on that cover A really nice thing to do as it is the second most sold book in the world Additionally a pleasure to see my artwork on the editions published in different languages. The artwork was achieved by airbrushing and no computer skills were used, or indeed commercially available in those days.
